Facial Procedures
Facelift Surgery
(aka Rhytidectomy)
A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is the most comprehensive approach to treating facial wrinkles and sagging caused by aging. A facelift removes excess skin, tightens underlying tissues and muscle, and re-drapes skin on the face and neck. It can correct midface sagging, marionette lines, jowls, and a double chin.
Why You May Want to Consider a Facelift?
- If you feel that your face does not reflect your youthful spirit and energy level.
- If you determine that your facial sagging and excess skin is a social or career obstacle.
- If you show signs of facial aging but still have some skin elasticity.
Pros:
- A facelift can improve many areas of the face in one surgery.
- Can last for ten years or more and can make you appear ten to fifteen years younger.
- Can re-contour the neck and jawline better than all other techniques.
What Makes You a Good Candidate for a Facelift?
- You are healthy and do not have medical conditions that impair healing.
- You have a positive outlook and realistic expectations.
- You are a non-smoker.
How Long Will the Results Last?
Your genes, skin quality, and maintenance routine are important factors in the longevity of your facelift, but the facelift technique is the number one factor in determining how long the result will last. While most people are presentable to the public within 10-14 days, it will take 2-3 months for the face to feel “back to normal” in terms of texture, sensibility, and loss of tightness.
As swelling and bruising subside, the visible improvements of a facelift appear. Your final result should not only provide a more youthful and rested appearance but also help you feel more confident about yourself.
Brow Lift
(aka Forehead Lift)
A brow lift, or forehead lift, reverses the effects of gravity and tightens the soft tissues of the forehead to restore a more youthful contour to your forehead skin, upper eyelids, and eyebrows. At one age, it is common for the brow to assume a flat or horizontal position. If a sagging brow inhibits your facial expression, an eyebrow lift is a time-tested method for rejuvenating the upper third of your face. There are various brow-lift methods, which involve different length incisions in different locations.
Why You May Want to Consider a Brow Lift?
- If you have a sagging or low eyebrow position creates a tired, sad, or grumpy appearance.
- If you have deep horizontal creases across the forehead.
- You have frown lines or furrows between the eyebrows or across the top of your nose.
- If you have excess skin or fatty tissue hanging over your eyes.
- If the outside of your brow sags, resulting in a sad expression.
- If the central portion of your brow hangs down, making you look angry.
- If you have frown lines between your eyes.
- If you are unable to apply makeup on the upper eyelid because the surface area has been obscured by drooping tissues as you have aged.
- If you gently lift the skin above your eyebrow into a pleasing position and it eliminates most of the excess skin in your upper eyelid
Pros:
- Repositions a low or sagging brow that hangs over the upper eyelid.
- Raises the eyebrows to a more alert and youthful position.
- Makes you look happier, friendlier, and more approachable.
What Makes You a Good Candidate for a Brow Lift?
- You are healthy and do not have medical conditions that impair healing.
- You have a positive outlook and realistic expectations.
- You are a non-smoker.
How Long Will the Results Last?
The results of your brow lift surgery are immediately visible. Over time, post-surgical swelling will subside and incision lines will fade. The final results of your surgery will appear over the next few months. Gravity will take its toll as aging continues, but portions of the brow lift, especially wrinkle lines in the brow and the frown line area, should never be as severe again and may return only mildly over the years. Life-long sun protection and a healthy lifestyle will help to maintain and extend the results of your more youthful appearance.
Eyelid Surgery
(aka Blepharoplasty)
Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure to improve the appearance of the eyelids. Surgery can be performed on the upper lids, lower lids, or both. Whether you want to improve your appearance or are experiencing functional problems with your eyelids, eyelid surgery can rejuvenate the area surrounding your eyes.

- If you have excess skin and fine, ‘crepe paper’ type lower eyelid wrinkles.
- If your upper eye surface is too small or not smooth enough to apply makeup.
- If you have bags and dark circles under the eyes.
- If you have deep grooves under your eyes.
Pros:
- You will eliminate the puffiness and bags under your lower lids and the hooded skin on your upper lids, making you appear younger and healthier.
- You may no longer have vision problems related to overhanging eyelids.
- Any scars from the eye lift will be hidden in your natural eyelid creases, making them almost indiscernible.
What Makes You a Good Candidate for Eyelid Surgery?
- Individuals without serious eye conditions.
- You are healthy and do not have medical conditions that impair healing.
- You have a positive outlook and realistic expectations.
- You are a non-smoker.
How Long Will the Results Last?
Your eyelid surgery results should be long-lasting. It may take a few months before final healing is completed, but most patients are presentable in 10-14 days. you will continue to age naturally. Ongoing sun protection will help to maintain your results.
Nose Surgery
(aka Rhinoplasty)
Nose surgery, referred to as rhinoplasty, or as patient’s commonly request “a nose job,” enhances facial harmony and the proportions of your nose. If you desire a more symmetrical nose, keep in mind that everyone’s face is asymmetric to some degree. Results may not be completely symmetric, although the goal is to create facial balance and correct proportion.
It can also correct impaired breathing caused by structural defects in the nose. Correction of a deviated septum, one of the most common causes of breathing impairment, is achieved by adjusting the nasal structure to produce better alignment.
Why You May Want to Consider Nose Surgery ?
- If you have breathing problems resulting from irregularities inside your nose.
- If you are unhappy with the shape, size, or angle of your nose.
- If your nose is too large, too small, or not in proportion to the rest of your face.

- Your facial growth is complete.
- You are healthy and do not have medical conditions that impair healing.
- You have a positive outlook and realistic expectations.
- You are a non-smoker.
How Long Will the Results Last?
The results of rhinoplasty are permanent, so it is important that you have clear aesthetic goals when this procedure is planned. As your body ages, it is natural to have some gradual changes to your face including your nose. But most of your improvement should be relatively permanent.
Cheek Augmentation
(aka Cheek Enhancement)
The goal of cheek augmentation is to add volume or lift to the cheeks. The results can be achieved either through cheekbone augmentation or through the surgical reduction procedure. The patient’s facial structure and cosmetic needs are analyzed and a procedure is chosen.
Cheek augmentation can be achieved in one of the following ways:
Injectable Fillers
Hollow or underdeveloped cheekbones can be lifted using injectable fillers. Fillers come in both temporary and permanent variants. Most people choose temporary fillers at first. The effect of these fillers lasts up to 2 years after which the treatment can be repeated or the patient may opt for permanent ones.
Lipofilling
This procedure transplant a patient’s fat cells to increase the size and proportion of the cheek.
Implants/Prosthesis
Cheekbone implants come in different shapes and sizes based on the patient’s expectations and his/her structure.
Cheekbone Reduction
Conducted under the effect of general anesthesia, the cheekbone reduction procedure involves adjustment of both the body of the frontal cheekbone and the lateral part of the cheekbone.
Why You May Want to Consider Cheek Augmentation?

- Flat and sagging cheeks due to ageing can be corrected.
- Cheek plumpness, volume, and definition are restored.
- Deformities of the cheek due to trauma can be treated to benefit the patient, according to the shape of his/her preference.
- Prominent cheeks, round/chubby cheeks, and facial asymmetry from birth can be corrected.
- Facial contour, proportions, the balance of the face, and facial structures are improved.
What Makes You a Good Candidate for Cheek Augmentation?
- You are healthy and do not have medical conditions that impair healing.
- You have a positive outlook and realistic expectations.
- You are a non-smoker.
How Long Will the Results Last?
The final results of cheek augmentation surgery may be initially obscured by swelling. If your cheeks are augmented using fat transfer, the results will be based upon how much fat was injected into your cheeks and how much fat your body has retained. If solid cheek implants are used, then your final result will be more predictable. Healing will continue for several weeks as swelling decreases.
Jaw Surgery
(aka Orthognathic Surgery)
Jaw surgery, also known as orthognathic surgery, corrects irregularities of the jaw bones and realigns the jaws and teeth to improve the way they work. Making these corrections may also improve your facial appearance. Jaw surgery may be a corrective option if you have jaw problems that can’t be resolved with orthodontics alone. Whether you want to improve your appearance or are experiencing functional problems, orthognathic surgery can be a life-changing procedure.
Why You May Want to Consider a Jaw Surgery?
- If you have a bite discrepancy, including overbite, underbite, crossbite, and/or open bite.

How Long Will the Results Last?
The results of jaw surgery will be long-lasting. The results of jaw surgery are usually apparent immediately but will reveal themselves fully as swelling and bruising subside over a period of a month or two. However, it may take a few months before final healing is completed. While jaw surgery can be expected to correct certain conditions permanently, you will continue to age naturally.
Chin Surgery
(aka Mentoplasty Or Genioplasty)
Chin surgery, also referred to as mentoplasty or genioplasty, is a surgical procedure to reshape the chin either by enhancement with an implant or reduction surgery on the bone. Sometimes bone from the jaw itself can be moved forward in an operation called a mentoplasty or genioplasty. Alternatively, shaped silicone implants can be used to give more projection to the chin. Conversely, bone can be removed to decrease an overly projecting chin.
Why You May Want to Consider Chin Surgery?
- If you want to improve facial harmony by bringing the chin into better proportion with other features.
- If you want to correct a weak or recessed chin.

While the aging process will affect your facial appearance in other ways, your enhanced chin contour will not change. In some situations, it may not be possible to achieve optimal results with a single surgical procedure and another surgery may be necessary. Some patients will touch up their results using injectable fillers instead of returning to the operating room.
Neck Lift
(aka Lower Rhytidectomy)
A neck lift, or lower rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that improves visible signs of aging in the jawline and neck. A neck lift enhances the appearance of the neck by tightening the skin and underlying neck muscles and improving the contour of the jawline. The loss of youthful contours in the face and neck can be due to a variety of factors, including heredity, gravity, environmental conditions, and stress. When the neck area doesn’t match the upper facial appearance, a neck lift may be a good solution.
